Temporal Representation (working
title)
This is the second of two in-progress book manuscripts. This one concerns philosophical
and theoretical cognitive neuroscientific issues in the temporality of perception.
Again, these are here for limited distribution to seminar participants, etc.,
and require a password. If you would like access please email me.

Electronic Journal of Analytic Philosophy: Special Issue on the Philosophy of Gareth Evans
[ Table of Contents (HTML) ]
[ My Editor's Introduction (HTML) ]
[ My contribution: Skill and Spatial Content (HTML) ]
This is a special issue of EJAP, devoted to the work of Gareth Evans, for which I served as guest-editor. I contributed an introduction, consisting of a little biographical material and a brief overviw of some of Evans' main ideas. Also, I contributed an article, 'Skill and spatial content'. The issue turned out very well. Contributors include Jose Bermudez and Fiona MacPherson, Ingar Brinck, Ronald Chrisley, Adrian Cussins, Daniel Hutto, Sean Kelly, Pete Mandik, Jesse Prinz, and Mark Textor. If you are interested in Evans, definitely check it out.
Manifolds, coordinations, imagination, objectivity.
This is an ancestor of the paper 'Self,
world and space', which is listed above. This version has much more philosophical
material, specifically development of the Kant-Strawson-Evans line on the relation
between spatial representation and objectivity, and much less neurobiological
and psychological material. I am not currently planning to publish this version
anywhere. [
